Settlement Agreements

Settlement Agreements (formerly known as Compromise Agreements)

If you are an Employee and have been offered a Settlement Agreement by your employer, you are entitled to legal advice about the Agreement with your Employer paying towards the legal costs of you obtaining that advice.

We understand that there can often be very tight deadlines set by your employer for an Agreement to be concluded. That is why we undertake to either meet with you or speak to you by phone within 24hours Monday to Friday of you contacting us.

We appreciate that Settlement Agreements often arise due to workplace changes which can be difficult and challenging. We also understand that they can arise from distressing circumstances with your employment. That is why there is no charge for the initial discussion as we recognise the importance of offering supportive and appropriate guidance.

You can contact us on 0845 305 2555, email LJB@lefevres.law or through our Facebook Messenger where you will engage directly with a solicitor to give you support and guidance you need with your Settlement Agreement.

We will work with you to understand your needs and your position, as well as ensuring that you understand what the complex document means for you in your individual circumstances. We will ensure that any Settlement Agreement provides you with a quick resolution, that the terms for you are fair, the payments due to you are correct and reference for future job prospects.

“I contacted Lindsay Bruce regarding an urgent settlement agreement I received from my employer. At the time, I was on maternity leave, and I wasn't in the mindset to process the fast paced information that came my way, alongside the devastating news of the redundancies. Lindsay prioritised my case as there was a deadline in the very near future, and she took the stress of the situation out of my hands so I could continue to enjoy my maternity leave with my baby. Lindsay explained the legal document to me in lamen terms, which helped me understand what I was signing, and she communicated with my employer on my behalf. Lindsay completely understood I couldn't always readily answers calls/emails at home, and always accommodated my position. Lindsay went through the document with a fine tooth comb, and she ensured that I received the package I was entitled to. Aswell as Lindsays excellent knowledge of Law, her personal skills were second to none. She was warm, friendly and always approachable. I never felt worried asking a "silly question", and I felt that Lindsays support helped me deal with the situation I was unexpectedly facing. I would highly recommend Lindsay! When you are faced with an unsettling situation, Lindsay will support and guide you through this, and I am beyond grateful Lindsay represented me in this situation. Thank you!” Lynne M
